8 kinds of children’s handicrafts using pig coloring page

Last week, my son Mike and I used pig coloring pages to make crafts. He loves animals, and pigs are one of his favorites because, as he says, “they roll in the mud, just like when I was playing outside!” As a former private school teacher and now part of the Greencoloring community, I love finding innovative ways to use coloring pages that aren’t just coloring. 1. Paper puppet

Required materials:

• Printed pig coloring page
• Scissors
• Glue or tape
• Handmade sticks
• Mark or crayon
• Eyes (optional)

step:

1. First print and color pig coloring page. Mike likes to work with bright colors; sometimes he even adds small dots to highlight their beauty.
2. Slowly cut the pig. Help young scissors kids so they don’t have any misfortunes.
3. Glue the pig on top of the handmade stick. Verify its security to ensure it does not fall during the game.
4. Place your eyes on the pig for a particularly interesting embellishment. You can use markers to create eyes.
5. Let it dry for a few minutes before performing a puppet show. Mike always lets his pig dance like in an interesting comic. Lisa likes to create several sounds for pigs.

2. Pig mask crafts

Required materials:

• Printed pig coloring page
• cardboard
• Scissors
• Pink paint or crayon
• Elastic string
• Hole puncher

step:

1. Let your child color pig coloring page first. Mike insists on giving her pig superhero shawl, and Lisa loves her pig’s glittering pink.
2. Once colored, carefully cut the pig’s face. Sticking the back to the cardboard to keep it firm can help you strengthen it.
3. Make two small holes on the side, using a hole puncher.
4. After tying the elastic cord into each hole, change it to fit your child’s head.
5. Cut the eye holes to make sure the piglet is clearly visible when wearing the mask.
6. Have your child wear a mask and pretend to be a playful pig sprinting on the house. When we once played a game, everyone laughed so hard!

3. Greeting card with pig theme

Materials required:

• Printed pig coloring page
• Blank card paper
• glue
• mark
• sticker

step:

1. Choose a pig’s design and color it with interesting, bright colors. Lisa always picks pink and adds heart. Mike, on the other hand, made a pig and looked like a cavalier.
2. Carefully cut out the pig and stick it to the front of a blank piece of paper.
3. Make the card look good with stickers, glitter or any other craft you have at home. Tell the kids that they can make each card unique by adding their own touches.
4. Feel free to write a sweet or interesting message. Lisa really likes writing: “Oink, Oink!” “I wish you a good day!” Mike sometimes just paints a smiley face.
5. Leave the card to family or friends. My wife Emily still owns a pig birthday card made by Mike. It makes her smile whenever she sees it.

Interesting tips: Make a bunch of thank you or birthday cards with the pig in advance so you always have a lovely homemade option.

4. Cardboard rotator

Required materials:

• Pig coloring page
• cardboard
• Scissors
• fastener
• crayon

step:

1. Print and color two separate pig noodles. Mike once created a pig, one side seemed shocked and the other side fell asleep, but Lisa liked to make one happy and the other stupid.
2. Cut out the pig and glue one on both sides of the cardboard.
3. Poke a small hole in the center of the plate and insert the fastener.
4. Hold the edge of the plate and let it rotate to see the pig’s expression change! The faster you spin, the more fun it looks.
5. Mike and I once had a game to see who could spin it without flying out of the table. Spoiler: He won!

Expert tips: For extra fun, add tiny speech bubbles to the pigs so it looks like they are talking while spinning!

5. DIY pig stickers

Required materials:

• Printed pig coloring page
• Scissors
• Double-sided tape or sticker

step:

1. Choose a pig design from your coloring page and color it vividly. Children are urged to use several pig designs in a creative way.
2. Cut out each pig carefully. This is a great way to improve your fine motor skills.
3. If you are using regular paper, apply double-sided tape to the back to turn it into an instant sticker. If using sticker paper, just cut, peel and paste! Lisa loves this because she can decorate all eyes.
4. Decorate your notebook, water bottle, and even lunch boxes with piglet stickers. Lisa covered her school folder with pig stickers, and Mike put one on the toy truck! I had to stop him before he put the dog on it.

Interesting tips: Add tiny speech bubbles to the sticker with funny pig phrases like “Oink-Tastic Day!”. Or “Keep muddy and happy!”

6. Party Decoration

Required materials:

• Pig coloring page
• Thin rope
• Tape
• Hole puncher

step:

1. Print and color many free printable pig coloring pages above. Let young children choose a variety of pig expressions.
2. Cut out each pig and punch a top hole. Make sure kids handle safe scissors.
3. Weave them together and make interesting banners with pigs. Mike only hopes his pig becomes stupid. Lisa likes to create patterns.
4. Hang them on a farm-themed game date or birthday celebration. Last summer, we did. The children even created pig dance for entertainment. This is indeed unforgettable!
5. Children will feel proud and accomplished when they see handmade decorations!

Expert tips: If you have time, laminate the pig cutouts so they last longer and may be used for the next event!

7. Puzzle fun

Required materials:

• Printed pig coloring page
• Scissors
• cardboard
• glue

step:

1. To keep the pigs going for longer, choose a design, color it, and then glue it to robust cardboard. Reusing old boxes can be done here in an interesting way!
2. Once dried, cut the image into pieces of puzzle pieces. Leave big pieces for young children and make them smaller to face challenges. Lisa did a 20-piece puzzle at a time, and it was hard for me to put it back!
3. Mix the fragments and try to solve the puzzle. This activity can help with problem solving and patient children. Mike gets frustrated at times, so we turn it into a guessing game to see how long it takes to complete!
4. To keep the puzzle organized, store the pieces in a small Ziploc bag with a printed image of the pig in front. This way, they can match the parts later.

Interesting tips: If kids love puzzles, turn them into friendly family challenges! See who can solve their problems as quickly as possible!

8. Farm Animal Collage

Required materials:

• Pig coloring page
• Other farm animal coloring pages
• Large
• glue

step:

1. You can print and color pigs as well as other farm animals such as sheep, bulls and cattle. Help kids make their dream farm come true!
2. Cut them out and place them on a piece of paper to create a fun farm scene. Lisa made a pond for the ducks and Mike gave his pig superpower through his wings.
3. Put everything down with glue and add something like a barn, sun, or small fence. Make children’s dreams come true.
4. Hang their masterpieces on the refrigerator or on the wall! Lisa loves to show off herself to Emily, and Emily always gives the best compliments!
5. This craft not only helps children to be creative, but also allows them to tell stories. Mike made a pig and asked, “Where is my snack?” Everyone laughed for several days.

Interesting tips: For extra fun, let the animals look carefully so that they look even more dazzling. Kids love to flip pages and walk around with their eyes.
